At Starliner Music, I incorporate a tailored curriculum to help people achieve their personal goals. I can show you how to play your favorite songs, or I can teach you music theory, technique, improvisation, reading, walking bass lines and more. I adjust your course of study according to your areas of interest. If you are dying to learn a rock song or country tune or are planning on auditioning for a college-level program, I can help you achieve these goals. I have taught hundreds of beginners alongside more advanced students. My students have gone to study music at GIT, Fullerton College, Pasadena City College, Berklee, Citrus College, Cal State LA, and USC.

30 Plus Years of Gigging Experience
|
I have been playing professionally for over 30 years. Festival appearances have included the Portland Rose Festival, Long Beach Blues Festival, Burnaby British Columbia Roots Festival, Irvine Lake Blues Festival, and the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival. I have opened shows for Robben Ford, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, The Meters, and Roomful of Blues, to name a few.
In addition to performing with my original projects—the Scorch Sisters and the Kimberly Allison Band—I have worked with top-notch artists, including smooth jazz group Jazz in Pink and Pamela Williams, as well as Grammy winners such as blues vocalist/guitarist Ruthie Foster and jazz pianist/vocalist Diane Schuur. |
