As a guitarist and bassist with more than 35 years of playing experience, I bring real-world performing and teaching experience to every lesson. I graduated from Musician's Institute (GIT) with honors. I have a degree in Studio/Jazz guitar from USC (Cum Laude).

30 Plus Years of Gigging Experience
|
I have been performing professionally for more than 30 years. My festival appearances include the Show-Me Jazz Festival, the Carson Jazz Festival, Stockton's Jazz on the Water Festival, the Portland Rose Festival, the Long Beach Blues Festival, the Burnaby Roots and Blues Festival (British Columbia), the Irvine Lake Blues Festival, and the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival. I have also opened for acclaimed artists such as Robben Ford, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, The Meters, and Roomful of Blues.
In addition to leading my original projects—the Scorch Sisters and the Kimberly Allison Band—I have performed with a diverse roster of accomplished artists, including the smooth jazz ensemble Jazz in Pink, saxophonist Pamela Williams, Grammy-winning blues artist Ruthie Foster, and Grammy-winning jazz vocalist and pianist Diane Schuur. |
